My cherished Seattle Seahawks are playing in the NFC Championship game this Sunday. Beat the LA Rams, and the Seahawks are Super Bowl bound.
There once was a time in my life when I would head south to Seattle for a game each season. Tickets in the upper bowl were something in the range of $150.
Seeing a game at Lumen Field is an incredible experience. But those nosebleed seats are no joke. You need a sherpa to help you get to row FFFFFF.
This weekend? As of Tuesday night, those same seats are listed on StubHub for roughly $1,300.
The most expensive is a club seat at the 50-yard line for $20,132. That includes, get this, $4,529 in StubHub fees. That’s absurd.
Needless to say, I’ll be watching from my couch, thinking how glad I am not to be Mark Carney. He has some tough decisions on Greenland to make, which I’ve broken down for you below.

Don’t poke the bear
Trump has long been hostile to NATO, openly questioning whether the U.S. would defend allies who don’t “pay their fair share.” His threats toward Greenland show little regard for Denmark’s sovereignty or NATO itself.
Sending troops could provoke Trump, complicate trade talks, and risk retaliation when Canada can least afford to anger its most powerful economic partner.
It's our integrity at stake
It may seem like a dilemma, but it isn’t. Carney has little choice but to send a small, largely symbolic troop deployment to Greenland, reinforcing Canada’s support for Greenland’s sovereignty and its NATO commitments.
Former UN ambassador Bob Rae warns Canada could be “next on the menu” under Trump. If Ottawa expects NATO support in the future, it has to show up now, whether Trump likes it or not.
