I never planned to be a TikTok’r. I’d been avoiding most social media for about a decade, which hasn’t exactly made the life of a media person the easiest, but it has saved my brain in more than a few ways.

So, yeah, never planned to be a TikTok’’r. But there comes a time in any adults life where they need to do what’s best for the team, even if you think it’s the most uncomfortable thing possible. Parents of small children will know what I’m talking about. Small businesses owners too. Come to think of it, the stress of these two roles is verrrrry similar…

Anyway, I started our TikTok channel and, wouldn’t you know it? It’s been way more enjoyable than I could possibly have imagined. Go figure.

The U.S. House Oversight Committee Democrats released emails from Jeffrey Epstein’s estate on November 12 that include claims that Donald Trump “knew about the girls” and that a victim “spent hours” at Epstein’s house with Trump. Journalist Kara Swisher predicted earlier this week that the scandal could take down Trump’s presidency.

And here’s the thing – nothing has stuck to Trump quite like this.

Until now, Trump’s been dogged by controversy for his entire political career, and has survived all of it. But the Epstein scandal is a different animal altogether, in large part because of how horrific it all is.

Because of this, fissures in the MAGA base  threaten to dismantle his support altogether. Marjorie Taylor Green, formerly a staunch supporter of Trump, has now broken with the party at least in part over the Epstein issue. Trump’s approval rating is at its lowest in part because of the Epstein scandal, as well as his handling of the economy.

Literally nothing has taken Trump down. Trump’s survival strategy is to deny everything, all the time, regardless of the evidence. This has been very effective for him.

Brynn Tannehill argues in The New Republic that Trump will do everything in his power to hide any evidence directly tying him to any Epstein-related crime. He’ll refuse to release the images. He’ll drag that fight out in court for as long as necessary. He may even destroy the evidence.
